With the holiday season upon us and families reuniting, we would like to provide you with some survival tips that battle the common tummy bloating.

With the holiday season upon us and families reuniting, we would like to provide you with some survival tips that battle the common tummy bloating. Our gastrointestinal system is extremely complex and can be very sensitive to EVERYTHING!!

In an effort to feel your best, be comfortable and slay in your vegan faux leather leggings at the family get together we put together a list of ways to fight the bloat and avoid the food hangover all together.

Ways to combat bloat:

  • Lemon in your water to detoxify (lot and lots of water)
  • Increasing your fibre intake thru fruits and vegetables to make sure you are regular
  • Stay away from processed sugar and carbonated drinks (try swapping out refined sugar in your recipes with maple syrup, date sugar, coconut sugar etc)
  • Don’t overeat at one meal aim for 6 or 7 small meals per day
  • Avoid over consumption of dairy products
  • Drink peppermint tea
  • Take a high potency probiotic daily
  • Consider a digestive enzyme supplement with your meals
  • If you do over indulge try a kombucha drink after to ease the discomfort
  • Massage your belly or use a hot water bottle to ease the aches and pains
